My Story

Hi! I'm Sarah and here is a bit about me. I have been practising complementary therapy since first qualifying in Swedish massage in 1994 from Morley College in London. I soon found that it was work that I loved and the following year trained in Aromatherapy and in Reflexology with Renee Tanner. I subsequently trained with Barbara McGregor in Reiki and Narendra and Kundan Mehta at the London Centre of Indian Champissage in Indian head and in facial rejuvenation massage. A few years later while travelling in Thailand I studied at the Thai Massage School of Chiang Mai where I learnt a few more massage modalities including Thai foot massage and Thai chair massage. Over the years I have added to my repertoire, though less exotically, by undertaking various courses in the UK to enable me to safely practice a range of thermal massage therapies such as hot stone, warm bamboo and lava shell massage and to offer to my clients a range of spa treatments such as body brushing, salt glow scrubs, body wraps and facials.

My Approach

With over 25 years experience in a wide range of complementary therapy treatments I have a wealth of hands-on experience which I endeavor to use to make each treatment I give just right for the recipient. Whilst I am also a qualified sports massage therapist I don't really offer that as a stand alone treatment, preferring to use those specialised techniques only when called for and woven in to the other massage modalities that I practice, an approach which I have often found to be more effective and more in keeping with my holistic way of working.

All products used in any of the treatments are cruelty free, have no animal derivatives, are free from parabens and sulphates, and organic where possible.

Please be aware that access to Room 8 is via a few outdoor steps so please talk to me if you have any mobility problems. Some of the treatments offered can be brought to you in your hotel room which I will happily do if you need me to. Especially reflexology which requires very little equipment. Please note that I also offer reflexology as a mobile service to non hotel guests if you're not too far afield.
